The basic concept of the e-flight-expo combines the following aspects –

all of them with a common denominator – the ecologically oriented future of aviation:

1. aircraft with electrical engines

solar charged batteries for less expensive costs per hour
less emission – no exhaust fumes, almost no noise,
smaller risks for pilots, no fuel on board – particularily
interesting for paramotor pilots

e-flight-expo shows electrically driven aircraft of all
categories:
e-paragliders, e-sailplanes, e-fixed-wings including two
seaters for flight instruction.

2. future solar technologies

new photovoltaics, new solar cells, e.g. lacquer, foils,
textile
cooperations with research institutes – universities,
private and public business

3. high end battery manufacturers

manufacturers of new super batteries for e-flight as
well as for the use in cars and scooters

4. hangar roofs and solar panels for energy production

electrical is only ecological if the energy comes from
renewable sources.
a European fact: airsports clubs face three major problems:
- lack of money
- lack of members
- lack of regional support by the communities and population
because of noise and exhaust emissions
- close down of airfields because of all three above
e-flight offers a solution: Solar panels on hangar roofs
produce electricity to feed a new generation of e-planes. The
surplus energy is sold to power companies. Thus the club makes
money and safes on expensive fuel
less expensive hourly rates make flying more attractive
e-flight enhances the acceptance and regional support by the
population

Bresil: Solar energy from the hangar roof generates the
production of hydrogen to be used in an airplane with a

e-flight-expo 2009 will host the first e-flight award
ceremony. The e-flight award will go to the most
innovative e-flight project

e-planes will participate in the daily AERO air show

publications thus creating an intensive media coverage
